Van break-in prints:

On the night of 27th/28th November, on a brief stopover in a very leafy part of north London, on the way back to Scotland from France, my (locked and alarmed) transit van was broken into.

Nearly all my audio/video and photographic equipment was stolen (cameras, audio recorder & mics, gimbals, projector, etc.), as well as some tools and personal items (inc. my guitar and amp). I use my audio and video equipment mainly to make my work as an artist, and I also use it to earn money. My equipment had been carefully built up over the last few years, and importantly, was familiar to me and easy to use.

Despite four potentially relevant insurance policies (home, van, travel and professional artist) it seems I’m not fully covered for this specific eventuality and can only recover about 25% of the replacement value. I’m not currently in a position to simply go out and replace everything…

I’m setting-up a GoFundMe with the aim of seeking support from the wider art community for the speedy replacement of at least some of my gear so I can get back to work as soon as possible.

And... I'm offering a signed print (from two I've made especially to mark the event) to everyone who contributes, as a thank you:

Please state 'Frozen White' or 'Footprint Gold', and you’ll need to send me a postal address (info@andrewmcniven.com). Print can also be sent by e-mail as a hi-res PDF for you to print.

I’d also be very grateful if you could please circulate this around your networks!

Many thanks, in advance,

Andrew

Coronavirus Print Folio (2020):

In common with many other artists and freelance workers, I am affected adversely by the Covid-19 pandemic, with opportunities to earn diminished significantly. I have decided to make large editions of selected photographic works available at affordable prices in a measure to offset lost income over this difficult period.

Photographs: Each print is in a signed and numbered edition of 100, will be printed on A4 260 gsm archival quality paper and is available for £25.00 or €30.00 each delivered (within UK or EU), inc. postage & packing (can be insured in transit for additional cost). A portfolio of all five prints is available for £100.00 or €120.00 delivered.

High resolution digital downloads (as a print-ready PDF) are available of each photograph from a numbered edition of 100 at £10.00, or €12.00 each.

Invoice/bank transfer is preferred and can be made in either £ or €. E-mail: info@andrewmcniven.com for details
